Grade 6 Students
The 2020 transition program will run in February with an information evening on the same date.
This will be a Grade 6 transition day in which all grade 6 students at all schools in the surrounding area will be invited to attend.
The Principal tour will also run in February, Mr Price and our Year 10 Peer Support students will take you on a guided tour of the school to see it in action.
All information will be sent to Primary Schools to ensure you are kept up to date and have your options open for choosing your child's secondary educational home.
If you have questions regarding what to look for in a Secondary School please read the information provided in this link.
Throughout the year you can make an appointment for a tour with Mrs Sam Adams, our Year 7 Coordinator or Mrs Bernadette Cook, our Transition Coordinator at any time.
Once enrolment information has been sent to the College (hard copy enrolment forms are required from independent schools, government schools will have files transferred electronically) we will hold a parent information evening to fully prepare you for the following year. These sessions cover all aspects of what you need in preparation for the year ahead and all paperwork will be completed at these sessions to negate the need for frequent visits to the college.
The grade 6 Orientation day will be held in December where students will spend the day in their 2020 Form groups. Students will be assigned their 2020 lockers and familiarise themselves with the college.
Grade 5 students
The Grade 5 school visit will run on Tuesday 16th June, this day is open to ALL Primary Schools and designed to make the transition process easier for Primary Students, regardless of their choice of Secondary Education. We have found that by the time our students arrive in Year 7, they are very comfortable with being a Secondary School Student and the exposure to the environment from Grade 5 has a lot to do with this. Students enjoy a day full of interesting subjects to be enjoyed without the thoughts of school selection.
